Ignore the Dastardly Devils

"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places."  - Ephesians 6:12

I'm far from perfect. But one perpetual reminder every time I'm flustered is that people are people. People are broken. People are finite. People are sinners. People make mistakes. People hurt and get hurt. And in all of this, the greatest reminder is that people are not my enemy.

As Christians, as sojourners here on Earth, we are to have our minds set on heavenly places. This entails the spiritual discipline of always asking yourself, "What is the dastardly demonic agenda behind this?"

More than likely, you will quickly be reminded of this Scripture. God has not called us to wage war on one another. But Satan's minions certainly desire us to get distracted with one another. All the while, they continue to wreak havoc upon the souls of those we love. Do not fall prey to this trap! Do not fall prey to the "Bait of Satan."

"Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God." -Hebrews 12:1-2

We gaze upon our blessed King, Jesus Christ. We fix our eyes solely upon Him. The author and perfecter of our faith. And while we gaze upward, we begin to forget about the earthly distractions about us.

"Set your minds on things that are above, not on things that are on earth. For you have died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God." - Colossians 3:2-3

Ignore the Dastardly Devils. They only desire to distract and deter you from the true business of the Kingdom: Soul Winning. Gaze upon Christ. Preach Christ. Live to Christ.

Love you all -
