Our Elders

An elder is a pastor who shepherds through protecting, teaching, leading, managing, and caring for the needs of Jesus' people (1 Timothy 3:1-7, Titus 1:5-9, 1 Peter 5:1-4). 

Jesse Smout

Originally from Montana, Jesse moved to Ogden while in elementary school. Jesse felt the call to pastoral ministry while still a young teenager. He began leading Bible studies, Youth Group and assisting in any capacity available. Eventually Jesse became our Pastor in December 2020.

Outside of pastoring, Jesse enjoys coffee in the mornings, talking history & theology, fishing, disc golf and camping. Jesse is married to his high school sweetheart, Cecelia. They have two boys together: Luke and Samuel. 

Jesse affirms the Belgic Confession.

Our Deacons

Deacons are church servants who support its mission through practical service and ministry, embodying Christ's example (Acts 6:1-7, 1 Timothy 3:8-13). They assist in various tasks, demonstrating humility, integrity, and a heart for serving others. 

Brian Harris

Brian has been a faithful member of this church since day 1.  Just looking to serve in any capacity he can. Brian has served in outreach, worship and men's ministry. He has recently recognized the call upon his life for assisting the church in any physical and spiritual capacity needed. 

Outside of the church, Brian enjoys coffee with his wife, grilling, being a dad & a 'bonus' dad, as well as playing music with family & friends. Brian is married to Ignitra. They have three children together: Josiah, Arabella and Gabby.
